As local surfers in the Hanalei Bay North Shore area, our experienced instructors at Hanalei Surf School are able to offer comprehensive surf lessons in the world-famous Hanalei Bay. Our staff, comprised of professional surfers, takes people out on these famous rolling waves to learn the gamut of surfing techniques in some of the warmest, most transparent water one can imagine. After our personalized surf lessons in Hawaii with the local pros, you’ll be able to take on waves all over the world.

Our Classes

Our standup paddleboard lessons and surf lessons in Hanalei Bay, Kauai, are 90-minute sessions from 8 am to 3:30 pm. These lessons feature a short beach session where we give you a rashguard and a surfboard or paddleboard, then cover paddling techniques and teach you how to stand up. Once you’re primed, we get out in the water to start the fun!

Rentals

Surfboard Rentals

We rent out soft top surfboards at affordable rates, such as $20/day or at a discounted price up to a week. We also have great hard tops you can get if you’re up for the challenge! The rental comes with a leash and surf wax, so you’re ready to get out there into the warm Hawaiian water with everything you need.

Paddleboard Rentals

Our paddleboards are top-notch, and we rent them out for the fair price of $40/day with both a leash and paddle. Our paddleboard rentals are perfect for going beyond the waves to enjoy the spectacular experience of gliding above the water for tranquil views of the ocean up against Hanalei Bay’s stunning mountain views.
